I have passed 12th in the year 2016 (or earlier). I am now doing my higher studies (B.Sc./B.E./Diploma) in another college. Can I apply for BITSAT-2018 ?

You are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2018.

How am I Eligible for admission to M.Sc. programmes after 12th ?

The M.Sc. programmes are 4-year integrated programmes after 12th. There is no intermediate B.Sc. degree awarded.

What is the application procedure for candidates with foreign qualifications ?

There is no separate procedure for those candidates who wish to be admitted through BITSAT. They have to apply similar to Indian students and to provide an equivalence certificate from AIU at the time of applying for Admissions later.

What is the application procedure for NRIs ?

There is no separate procedure for NRIs. However those candidates who have citizenship other than INDIA can apply under International students admissions scheme.

I had appeared in BITSAT-2017 but my marks were below the cut-off marks. Can I appear in BITSAT-2018 ?

Yes, as advertised. Subject to eligibility conditions you can apply again for BITSAT-2018.

I passed 12th exam in 2017. Am I eligible to appear for BITSAT-2018 ?

As advertised, you are eligible to Apply for BITSAT -2018.

What are the tuition and other fees and expenses ?

The fee details for 2018-19 are yet to be finalized. The details will be available at BITS admission website by 1st May 2018.

I passed 12th in 2017. I didn't get 75% aggregate in PCM. Am I eligible if I repeat some of the subjects to get the required 75% marks ?

If you are repeating 12th exam, you should do it for the all the subjects to pass 12th again as mentioned in the BITSAT brochure. If you take improvement exams in PCM/PCB only, you are not eligible.

My 12th exam results are not expected before 18th June 2018. Should I apply for BITSAT-2018 ?

For admissions to I semester 2018-19 starting in August, you should have your result before 18th June 2018. Keeping that in mind, you may appear in BITSAT-2018.

I have made a mistake while entering some data in my application form. How can I edit/correct it ?

The link for editing the application form will be made available on the website during 15th March 2018 to 19th March 2018 and you can edit the required fields during this period. No email queries will be entertained in this regard.

I have made multiple payments for single application because of connection error. How will I get back my extra amount ?

If you have made multiple payments towards BITSAT application fee for an application, Institute will refund the extra amount during march 2018. You have to provide your bank details to claim this amount during 15th March to 20th March 2018 online through the BITS admission website. An option will be provided then.

I have completed the online application. But, I have not taken a printout. How can I get a printout now ?

You can go to the applying online page again and enter the personal details AND the application number. You will be taken to the printout page again.

I have taken Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2. Am I Eligible to Apply for BITSAT ?

Candidates can write BITSAT 2018 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2. However, they will be eligible to apply only for the B. Pharm program. They will not be eligible for any other first degree program of the Institute.

How I will get proof of fee paid to NTA for NEET (UG) 2019 ?

Once confirmation page is generated, it means that you have paid the fees. Further, in the confirmation page, fee details, transaction mode and the transaction id are provided.

I have submitted the fee but my confirmation page has not been generated ?

The generation of confirmation page is linked with payment of fee. If your fee has not been received on NIC portal, confirmation page will not be generated. If you have paid the fee and confirmation page has not been generated, you are requested to make the efforts to take the print out of your confirmation page in next 24 hours as there could be delay in updation of fees on NIC server from your gateway payment. This updation is done within 24 hours maximum. Thereafter if your confirmation page is still not generated, pay the fee once again and take the printout of the confirmation page. The excess fee paid will be automatically refunded in your account

How to remit fee for NEET (UG) - 2019 ?

The examination fee for NEET (UG) - 2019 can be remitted in the following manner:  Online Mode i.e. Debit/ Credit card, Net Banking and Unified Payment Interface (UPI) in State Bank of India or ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank or Syndicate Bank  Cash Deposit through e-challan at State Bank of India Branches only

What are the enclosures that should be attached with the confirmation page to be sent to the NTA ?

The candidates are NOT REQUIRED TO SEND the print out of the Confirmation Page or any document (s) to the National Testing Agency (NTA)

Can the candidate bring anything other than that mentioned in S.No. 56 above to the examination centre ?

Candidates are not allowed to carry any material except the Admit Card, Passport Size photograph and valid Identity proof inside the Examination Hall.

Will there be any changes in the JoSSA counselling process ?

No, there is no change in JoSSA counselling process.

If a candidate is opting Oriya as medium of question paper, would he be eligible for 15% All India Quota ?

Candidates qualifying NEET would be eligible for All India Quota and other quotas under the State Governments/Institutes, irrespective of the medium in which the examination is taken by a candidate, subject to other eligibility criteria.

Is it necessary to appear in JEE (Main) Examination twice? If I give the examination on both the occasions, which score will be considered ?

No it is not necessary to appear in JEE (Main) twice. This would be optional for the candidate to appear once or twice for the current academic session. In case a candidate appears in both the tests, the better of the two scores will be used for the admissions and eligibility for JEE (Advance)-2019 they have attempted both the examinations, best of the scores would be taken for the merit list.

Which type of Disabilities are included for the benefits of PWD candidates ?

5% seats of the annual sanctioned intake shall be filled by candidates falling under Persons with Bench Mark disabilities as per MCI Guidelines/ Regulations in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Detailed information in this regard is available on the website of Medical Counselling Committee – www.mcc.nic.in and on website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare – www.mohfw.nic.in

Which Browser is to be used for applying the online application of JEE (main)-2019 Examination ?

Candidate should Use Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer (above 9.0) and good internet connection while filling online Application Form. In case of continuous time out clear cookies and history of the browser and fill in off-peak hours.

What is the minimum qualification for appearing in NEET (UG) - 2019 for candidates of Foreign Nationals ?

The candidates who have studied from the Foreign/International Board should ensure that the qualifying examination passed by them are, in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology; which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. Provided further that the students’ educated abroad seeking admission into medical colleges in India must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English up to the 12th standard level with 50% marks and their equivalency determined by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.

I have no access to a computer and no experience with online examination. How can I prepare for the examination ?

NTA will be identifying schools, colleges and other institutions with internet and computer facilities in due course of time. The same will be designated as Test Practice Centers (TPCs) for facilitating free practice sessions.

What is the minimum qualification for appearing in NEET (UG) - 2019 for candidates of PwD category ?

In respect of Persons with Bench Mark disabilities as per MCI Guidelines/ Regulations in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 45% instead of 50% for Unreserved category candidates.

Can I use calculator in online examination conducted by NTA ?

No. Candidates are not allowed to carry calculators or any other electronic device in the examination centre. Detailed information in this regard is available in the Information Bulletin

What is the minimum qualification for appearing in NEET (UG) - 2019 for candidates of reserved category ?

In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes (OBC), the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for Unreserved Candidates.

When JEE (Main) - 2019 will be conducted ?

It will be conducted twice in January, 2019 and in April, 2019.

Is there any seat in MBBS/BDS on which admission will be made without appearing in NEET (UG) – 2019 ?

No. Admissions in 100% MBBS/BDS seats will be done through the NEET (UG) only.

Will the JEE exams get tougher from 2019 onwards due to involvement of National Testing Agency ?

No. The syllabus and the pattern of the examination would remain the same.

Through NEET (UG) against which seats admissions will be made ?

Admissions to all seats of MBBS/BDS will be done through NEET (UG)-2019. Following are the seats, available under different quotas: - i. ii. All India Quota Seats iii. State Government Quota Seats iv. Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities v. State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private University vi. Central Pool Quota Seats

Will the application of JEE (main)-2019 be rejected if a candidate have filled duplicate forms ?

Multiple forms leads to cancellation of Application Form of JEE (Main)-2019. However, NTA will accept one Application Form and Admit card will be issued on only single Application Form. Kindly refer to point No-2 in “IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DATES AT A GLANCE” of Information Bulletin for JEE (Main)-2019.

Who can appear in NEET (UG) - 2019 for 15% All India Quota seats ?

Indian Nationals  Non Resident Indians (NRIs)  Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)  Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)  Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG)-2019 for 15% All India Quota Seats.

How can I check the status of my JEE (main)-2019 examination fees ?

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment at NTA website (www.jeemain.nic.in). The candidate should take the printout of Confirmation Page. In case, the Confirmation Page is not being downloaded. The candidates are advised to follow as following:- i) If the fee is paid through e-challan by depositing cash in the nearest SBI bank, the candidate should contact immediately the concerned bank to update his/her fee status on the website. ii) If the fee is paid through credit/debit card and status is not OK, wait for at least 48 hours for updation. If still not updated, it means the transaction is cancelled and the amount will automatically be refunded to concerned credit/debit card within 7 – 10 days. Therefore, such candidates have to pay the fee once again and ensure the OK fee status.

Who can appear in NEET (UG) - 2019 ?

From which city foreign nationals, OCIs & PIOs can appear in NEET (UG) - 2019 ?

They can choose any four cities as given in Appendix-II.

Is there any change in the syllabus of JEE (Main) - 2019 ?

There is no change in the Syllabus of JEE (Main) - 2019.

Why option for Date and Shift is not given in JEE (Main)-2019 ?

To determine the NTA Score on the basis of two attempts made by the equal number of candidates is a prerequisite. Hence, the random allotment will be made by the computer software, as per decision taken by the NTA

Can NTA fix the examination centre in any city other than the four options exercised by the candidates ?

Yes. NTA reserves its discretion to fix the centre in the city other than the one exercised by the candidate.

Whether the photograph without name and date of photograph is accepted ?

Though instructions are given in clause-5.3 of information bulletin as to how to upload the photograph. However if any candidate has uploaded the photograph without date and time inadvertently, the same will also be accepted.

Can a candidate opt Imphal as centre city if residing in Delhi ?

Candidates are advised to select the centre/city in their State of residence or in neighbouring city only.

How can I apply for JEE (Main) - 2019 ?

Application form for JEE (Main)-2019 can be submitted only online through website www.nta.ac.in. Details are available under Chapter-5 “Application procedure for JEE (Main) - 2019” as provided in the Information Bulletin of JEE (Main) - 2019. Keep the correct details ready before submission of form after carefully reading of Information Bulletin.

Can a candidate change its centre city after allotment of roll number ?

No. Centre or City cannot be changed under any circumstances. Please be careful while filling in choice of centre.

What is eligibility for Diploma Students in JEE (Main) - 2019 ?

To appear in JEE (Advanced) a diploma holder can apply in JEE (Main) - 2019 but his/her rank and NTA score for JEE (Main) will not be declared as diploma holders cannot apply for admission to NITs and CFTIs through JEE (Main) channel.

Does NTA reserve its discretion not to fix the centre in a city which is given in the Appendix-II ?

Yes.

How many times a student can appear in one year ?

As per the new scheme, the JEE (Main) - 2019 exam would be conducted twice in a year. The Number of attempts for admission in a particular academic session will be treated as One. The age eligibility as prescribed under clause Point No- 2.9 “Eligibility for appearing in JEE (Main) – 2019” allows a candidate to appear in JEE (Main) for three consecutive years .

Which are the cities where NEET (UG) - 2019 will be held ?

A list of examination centres cities is provided at Appendix-II in the Information Bulletin of NEET (UG) - 2019.

What are the provisions for persons with disabilities candidates ?

The provisions for persons with disabilities candidates is clearly mentioned in the Information Bulletin of JEE(main)- 2019 Kindly refer to the point No-2.4 of page No-4

Can a centre be allotted by the NTA manually ?

No. Centre allocation is made through computer with no human intervention.

What is the state of eligibility for the Improvement Candidates /Institution Abroad/NIOS ?

If a candidate has passed Class 12th/ Equivalent qualifying examination from one State but appeared for improvement from another State, his/her State code of eligibility will be from where he/she has originally passed Class 12th/ Equivalent qualifying examination and not the State from where he/she has appeared for improvement. Indian Nationals passing the equivalent qualifying examination from an institution abroad, the State of Eligibility will be determined on the basis of permanent address in India as given in the Passport of the candidate. Candidate passed/appearing class 12th from NIOS should select the State of Eligibility according to the State in which the study centre is located. The state of eligibility is not applicable for the candidates belonging to Nepal /Bhutan/Foreign/OCI/PIO.

What are the duration/timings of NEET (UG) - 2019 ?

The duration of NEET (UG) - 2019 will be 03 hours from 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. However, no entry will be allowed after 1.30 p.m.

If a candidate has passed in 2018 and appearing for improvement in 2019. Is he eligible ?

Yes.

When NEET (UG) - 2019 will be conducted ?

NEET (UG) - 2019 will be conducted on 5th May, 2019 (Sunday) from 02:00 p.m to 05:00 p.m

Who is eligible for JEE (Main) - 2019 ?

1) Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2017, 2018 or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Examination or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) Examination be held in January-2019 as well as in April-2019. Candidates who had passed Class XII/qualifying examination in 2016 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2020 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2019. Candidate who appeared in Class XII/ equivalent qualifying examination in 2016, did not pass in 2016, but passed in 2017 are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2019. 2) Age Limit For appearing in the JEE (Main)-2019 examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed XII examination in 2017, 2018 or appearing in 2019 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main)- examination 2019. The candidates should satisfy themselves about the eligibility of age limit requirements of the Institutes in which he/she is desirous of taking admission.

What is the responsibility of National Testing Agency (NTA) for NEET (UG) - 2019 ?

The responsibility of NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for counselling of 15% All India Quota Seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU and providing the result to the State Counselling Authorities and Admitting Institutions

Whether the examination will be offline or online ?

This will be Computer Based Test and will be conducted through Online mode only.

What is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test–UG [NEET (UG) – 2019] ?

As per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act- 1956 and the Dentists Act-1948, as amended from time to time, admissions in 100% seats of MBBS/BDS will be done through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2019 [NEET (UG) – 2019] in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
